Judge weighs challenge to gag order in University of Idaho killings

MOSCOW, Idaho — A judge overseeing the case against Bryan Kohberger, charged with killing four University of Idaho students last fall, is set to hear arguments Friday over a gag order that largely bars attorneys and other parties in the case from speaking with news reporters. A coalition of more than 30 media organizations has challenged the order, saying it violates the Constitution’s guarantees of free speech and a free press, as has a lawyer for one of the victim’s families.

Severed Head of the 'Saint of Genital Disease'

On May 29, a decapitated head said to be that of Saint Vitalis of Assisi, the patron saint of genital disease, will be sold at an auction in Ireland. The 600-year-old head was stored away for years in an outhouse before its owners decided to sell it. There are several saints with the name Vitalis, but Saint Vitalis of Assisi is a patron against sicknesses and diseases that affect the genitals.

St. George police on the lookout for alleged carjacker, jewelry store robber

ST. GEORGE — Police in St. George are on the lookout for an individual they say allegedly carjacked a vehicle Monday evening. According to a press release, a man armed with a gun was able to take a vehicle and fled the area around 5:44 p.m. The suspect then allegedly committed a robbery at a jewelry store located off of 3050 East. The suspect then crashed the vehicle on Interstate 15 and fled the scene on foot.

He also worked at Maui Chemical for several years and had his own yard maintenance business. Al is survived by his wife of almost 60 years, Norma; sons, Albert (Elaine) and Kalani (Teri Lyn); grandchildren, Angela (Mark), Daniel (Tiffany), Molly (Admund), Jesse (Georgia) and Kaleb; great-grandchildren, Aliyah, Conner, Kylar and Kaiden; brothers, Thomas, Benji and Robert.

Originally released in 2019, the unprecedented historic image of the supermassive black hole at the center of the galaxy Messier 87 captured an essentially invisible celestial object using direct imaging. The image presented the first direct visual evidence that black holes exist, showcasing a central dark region encapsulated by a ring of light that looks brighter on one side.
