BOISE, idaho (CBS2) — Bogus basin broke its snowmaking record on Christmas Day. Their snowmaking operations have reached 58 consecutive hours and have made over 5 million gallons of water into snow.
In their previous record, they ran the snowmaker for 24 hours straight, creating about 900,000 gallons of water into snow.
According to Bogus Basin, the snowmaking technology is powered by 100% renewable energy.
