in aus, i find the taobao shipping to be fairly cheap. i don't know if they ship out to US w/o proxy but in aus here i don't need to use proxy :)

Important note for the newcomer who wants to create a Taobao account.
If you create an account without verification, it has a chance of being frozen (suspect as a bot account) even if you made successful orders; some people even got frozen many months-old accounts.
I successfully helped my friend unfreeze the account once, and it was NOT easy.
To 100% prevent any chance of your account freezing, register and verify on Alipay first, then use Alipay to register and verify Taobao. Because Taobao uses Alipay for verification, even if you register Taobao first and want to do the verification, you need to create an Alipay account. So, it's easier to create an Alipay account first, and when you make a Taobao account, you just click the Alipay button.
