Alex Rodriguez Is Shirtless on a Yacht in Italy to Celebrate 49th Birthday with Daughters

Alex Rodriguez is 49 and feeling fine!

The former New York Yankees player's birthday was on Saturday, July 27, and he celebrated the surrounded by family and friends on a yacht off the coast of Portofino, Italy.

Rodriguez shared a carousel of photos and video capturing the celebration on Instagram Saturday.

"Officially 49! Feeling better than I ever have and so thankful to be healthy and surrounded by amazing family and friends," the athlete captioned the post. "Life moves pretty quick, remember to pause and enjoy. 🥳."

Rodriquez held up nine fingers while posing on the boat at sunset in the first photo and held his two daughters — Natasha, 19 and Ella, 19 — close as the trio posed on a couch in another snap.

The Fox Sports commentator was serenaded by loved ones with "Happy Birthday" in a sweet video and presented with a cake. The performance was complete with sparklers.

He spent time fishing and exploring the village with his crew in the celeb-favorite summer destination on the Amalfi Coast.

Rodriguez and his guests partied wherever they went, as seen in an Instagram post he shared on Sunday, July 28, featuring a video of him and his mom, Lordes, dancing on the yacht.

"The Dominican moves never stop! 🇩🇴," he wrote.

In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE in March, Rodriguez explained why his mom — who is in her late 80s — is an inspiration to him.

"She can out dance me and out drink me," he said with a laugh. "We recently had a holiday party and I was in bed at 2 a.m., and I woke up the next day and everyone was like, 'Yeah, your mom was up till 5:30 drinking!' I was like, 'Wow mom.'
